At SD Sails, we offer an extensive repair service to all of our lines of business, as well as many other sectors besides.

Marine - As any good sailor will know, maintaining your sails and covers on a regular basis is essential for both maximum lifespan, performance and safety. At SD Sails, we undertake all manner of repair, renewal and alteration work, including simple patch repairs, complete panel replacements, cut downs and reshaping, eyelets and press rings, fixings and hardware, bolt ropes and edge tapes, UV strips, laundering, valeting and re-proofing. Furthermore, our repair service extends right across the marine spectrum, to include windsurfing sails, power kites, covers and upholstery, as well as dinghy and yacht sails

Non-marine - Since first opening our doors in 1992, our repair department has seen just about every type of fabric product imaginable! Some of the more bizarre items we've repaired have included helicopter and aeroplane covers, animal beds and blankets, suit cases and bags, vehicle soft tops and sidings, and even trampolines! Certain items do crop up again and again though, such as swimming pool covers, caravan awnings, tents, marquees, and garden furniture upholstery and covers.

A common problem with any fabric item left outdoors is the degrading of the stitching due to UV, so often just a partial or total re-stitch is required, but other items like zip replacements, reinforcing patches, window panels, strap and buckle replacements, and a myriad of different fabric fittings are all likely candidates.
