CAD and Graphic Design Services

NEW FOR 2010, here at SD Sails, we have opened up our in-house CAD (computer aided design) and graphic design facilities to offer the same service to our wide range of customers. With the arrival of our new 3m x 15m Blackman & White plotter/cutter, we have now become fully automated from design to production, so CAD design expertise has become an essential part of our business.

Using the latest in CAD software, our current clients utilise our service in industries including playground, landscape, furniture, and structural, but we can help you to realise ideas in any field of business, from concepts and drafts, to full working drawings and plans. Obviously, this is also the perfect tool for our customers requiring CAD to help streamline the integration of our manufacturing services into their products. With more than 20 years of combined experience, our design team have also built up a huge portfolio of graphic design work, covering everything from T-shirt artwork to company logos. Furthermore, our large scale plotter/cutter also gives us the ability to transform on-screen images in to reality in the form of vinyl graphics for banners, signs, and vehicles.

Form Finding and Patterning

Utilising professional tensile fabric design software, SD Sails form finding and patterning service can produce any structure on screen and place a 3 dimensional membrane on to it. From there, it can be tune to the desired form, before laying down the computed panels in to flat 2 dimensional shapes ready to be nested and cut. This information can either be supplied ready for manual or automated cutting, or the panels can be supplied pre-cut or fully assembled.

Vinyl Graphics

We are fully equipped to produce high quality sign writing. Sign Writing is a method of producing signs that you would see in your everyday life. SD Sails uses the most technologically advanced machinery for a vastly quicker, more efficient and more economical method than the traditional way of sign production by hand, a skill of the past. SD Sails ensures and provides very high quality results and durability. With more than 10 years of Vinyl Graphics experience, our team have built up a huge portfolio of work from Shop Signs, Vehicle graphics, A-boards, Banners, Interior Wall designs, Marine Graphics to company logo stickers. Furthermore, our Design services allow us to take design concepts from artboard to finished Signs to meet your requirements.
